To enhance the import of China from African countries and to promote the healthy development of trade and economic relationship between China and African countries, the Chinese government is about to hold “African Commodities Exhibition 2008” (ACE2008) at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center on Sep 8th -11th, which will be held correspondingly with the 12th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT).
In 2006, the Chinese government held “African Commodities Exhibition 2006” on the occasion of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, which won a high opinion from over 170 participating enterprises of 23 African countries. ACE 2008 will continue to be sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China with an area of 3600 square meters.
The exhibition aims to set out and publicize those traditional, preponderant commodities from African countries, to promote intercommunication between African enterprises and their Chinese counterparts, and to help enterprises from African countries develop Chinese market and expand their exports to China. The exhibition organizer will hold a press conference and popularize the exhibition by means of advertising on the media such as televisions, commercial websites, newspapers and trade magazines. On that occasion, thousands of large-scale commercial enterprises, chain supermarkets, as well as professional purchasers in China like importers and traders will be invited to the exhibition.
The following favorable services will be provided by the Chinese government to further attract African enterprises to participate in the exhibition:
1. Free booths (3m×3m)for exhibitors. The specification of standard booth includes: One light lamp; One carpet（3m×3m）;One fascia board with company’s name (2-3 fascia boards at corner booth) ;One negotiation table; Four chairs; Two fluorescent tubes; Three spotlights; Three laminated panels; Nine flat shelves; One information desk; One socket; One ashbin.
2. The Chinese side will provide some financial aid for transportation of exhibits for the participating enterprises.(fees between Xiamen, port of discharge and the exhibition hall )
3. Assist exhibiting countries and enterprises to organize promotion activities during the exhibition. Provide free meeting rooms, conference facilities and translators. Help to invite Chinese medias and professional visitors;
4. The Chinese side will arrange relevant Chinese importers and enterprises to the exhibition to negotiate with the exhibiting enterprises.
5. Provide the service of interpreters and shuttle bus at the exhibition. Recommend hotels and transportation agency for the exhibitors.
