The 104th session of the Canton Fair will be entirely held in Pazhou Complex and arranged in 3 phases. This marks a new milestone in the Fair’s journey towards the top fair in the world. To help you participate the Fair easily and pleasantly, the news letter will focus on you may need.
◆ New Schedule
Please arrange your trip according to the new fair schedule and the products category.
Phase I: October 15th – 19th, 2008
Electronics & Household Electrical Appliances; Hardware & Tools; Machinery; Vehicles & Spare Parts; Building Materials; Lighting Equipment; Chemical Products; International Pavilion
Phase II: October 24th – 28th, 2008
Consumer Goods; Gifts; Home Decorations
Phase III: November 2nd – 6th, 2008
Textiles & Garments; Shoes; Office Supplies, Cases & Bags, and Recreation Products; Medicines, Medical Devices, and Health Products; Food & Native Produce.
Fair interval: October 20th – 23rd, October 29th – November 1st, 2008
◆ New complex
As of the 104th Session China Import and Export Fair, We will have three exhibition areas, namely Area A, Area B and Area C. A is for Hall 1-8, B is for Hall 9-13 and C is for Hall 14-16. Area A covers a construction space of 395,000 m2, Area B covers a construction space of 390.000 m2, and Area C is the newly accomplished part that will be used for the first time and covers a construction space of 225,000 m2
Such a huge complex may make you feel lost, but Canton Fair provide e-map on website and have e-search guides, layout maps and information desks onsite. And more importantly, after the adjustment, all exhibition sections will be more organized and be easy for you to locate relative products.
◆ New Entry Badge
In order to offer an easy access for overseas buyers to the new complex, the entry badge will adapt a new technology of IC Card, which can be used for multi-sessions and definitely will save your time in next sessions. The E-pass card will no longer be used. If you have an E-pass, please change to be an IC before entry.
The new card will cost more time to make, so for saving your time, please use the on-line application service on www.cantonfair.org.cn .Once you receive a Pre-application receipt by e-mail, you can pick up the IC card directly at appointed counter at Overseas Buyers’ Registration Office of the Fair.
Canton Fair will set up four overseas registration offices in Pazhou Complex. If you arrive by Metro, please get off at Xin Gangdong Station or Pazhou Station. If you arrive by hotel bus, please follow the on-site direction for registration. Moreover, the registration offices in 35 appointed hotels will help making IC card upon your arrival, which is more convenient than queuing among all the visitors rushing into the Fair.
◆ New Style on Website
Our official website has changed its page style, aiming at providing more efficient and friendly access to information. You may find the most popular information shortcuts at the obvious space in the home page.
◆ New Experience
Every session of China Import and Export Fair remarks the most important event in Guangzhou that involves every party’s efforts in the hospitable reception. You will embrace new experience here.
1. Travel During Interval----The 104th session of China Import and Export Fair has adjusted its exhibition period by splitting two phases into three. To help you know more about Guangdong and enjoy the leisure during the fair interval, Canton Fair International Travel Agency Co., Ltd. 2. Water Bus Shortcuts---The 104th session of Canton Fair will move to Pazhou complex entirely. The complex locates by Pearl River in the south-east part of Guangzhou city. So the water bus on Pearl River will be a shortcut into the downtown CBD and old district of the city, For example, White Swan Hotel provides ferry service during the rush hours on October 15 – 19 & 24 – 28, 2008. And moreover, White Swan Hotel will decorate the ferry boat in a traditional way.
3. Airport Pickup Service---Most of the appointed registration hotels provide the shuttle bus service between Baiyun New Airport and the hotels, some for charge around 50 RMB per person, and some for free. A new bus line from Pazhou Complex to Baiyun New Airport will be in service in October 19th, 28th and Nov. 6th, namely the final day of each phase of the Fair. Guangzhou Metro will also arrange more convenient traffic organization during the Fair.
4. Catering in the Fair---In Pazhou Complex, you may find various style restaurants or coffee bars just around the corners. Fast food like McDonald and Chinese snacks also are available under one roof.
5. Dinner around the Fair---Around Pazhou Complex, there are a lot of special restaurants in the near metro stations, such as Mo Diesha Station, Ke Cun Station and Chi Gang Station. The restaurants are of various styles of Northeastern style, Hunan style, Sichuan style, Korean style and other western styles.
